Wallace Named Super Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year; Seven Bisons Honored by D2CCA

SEARCY – Harding senior defensive end Nathaniel Wallace became the Bisons' first D2CCA Super Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year honoree Thursday as the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association released its All-Super Region teams.

Wallace, a native of Bryant, Arkansas, was one of Harding's three First Team honorees. Senior offensive lineman Hunter Willis of Kimberly, Alabama, and senior kicker Grant Ennis of Lavaca, Arkansas, were the other two First Team recipients.

Harding also had four players on the Second Team—junior running back Blake Delacruz of Springfield, Missouri; senior linebacker Zach Strickland of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; sophomore linebacker Clark Griffin of Mountain Brook, Alabama; and sophomore safety Ty Dugger of Searcy, Arkansas.

Harding's seven honorees tied for the most of any team in Super Region 3 and are the most since the Bisons had eight in 2016.

Super Region 3 includes the Great American Conference, the MIAA, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
