The Harding women's tennis team defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith 6-1 on Saturday in Fort Smith. The Lady Bisons improve to 5-9 and Arkansas-Fort Smith falls to 1-5. 

The Lady Bisons began the doubles action needing just one victory, due to lack of players. Grace Dodd teamed up with Georgia Plunkett for the first time this season, at No. 1, and won 6-0. Lina Romero and Karli Roux also picked up the win at No. 2, 6-2.  

In singles, Rachel McCrae opened the action with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5. Jing Jing Yang also won in straight sets, posting a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4. Dodd snapped a losing streak, winning 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1. The Lions grabbed a win at No. 2 before Romero won her sixth straight, 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3. 

The Lady Bisons will next travel to St. Louis, Missouri to take on Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday (March 11) at 1 p.m.
