MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Skyler McKinnon had 15 kills to lead the Harding volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-23, 16-25, 25-20, 25-11) victory over Southern Arkansas to open Great American Conference action Tuesday.
It was Harding's 15th-straight win over Southern Arkansas.
Harding improves to 6-3 on the season and 1-0 in the GAC.
Southern Arkansas falls to 3-6 on the season and 0-1 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Down 5-3 in the first set, Harding went on a 7-2 run to lead 10-7. Southern Arkansas answered back with a 4-0 run to lead 11-10. Trailing 23-22, Harding had three-straight kills to win the set 25-23. Both teams hit under .100 in the set.
SECOND SET
Trailing 9-7 in the second set, Southern Arkansas went on a 4-0 run on two kills to lead 11-9. Leading 17-15, the Muleriders went on an 8-1 run on four kills to win the set 25-16. Southern Arkansas had 16 kills in the set and hit .452.
THIRD SET
Trailing 9-7 in the third set, Harding went on a 7-0 run on three kills to lead 14-9. Southern Arkansas battled back to pull within two, 22-20, but Harding had three-straight kills again to win the set 25-20. Harding had 19 kills in the set and held the Muleriders to hitting .050.
FOURTH SET
Harding jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the fourth set and didn't look back as it went on to win the set 25-11. The Lady Bisons had 12 kills and only two attack errors in the set.

- Southern Arkansas had 41 kills, 20 attack errors and hit .140 in the match.
- Landry Rogers led the team with eight kills.
- The Muleriders had 80 digs in the match with Mary Insalaco leading the team with 20.

Harding will travel to Lebanon, Illinois this weekend to take part in the McKendree Invitational. The Lady Bisons will open the invite against Missouri-St. Louis Friday at 11:30 a.m.
