The Harding men's golf team posted another 3-under 281 in Round 3 on Tuesday at the NSU Classic to take home a runner-up finish at 1-over 853 for the tournament. The Bisons finished just two strokes behind host Northeastern State who shot a 1-under 851.
The Bisons were led by Sam Tandy who finished the tournament with a 1-under 70 in Round 3 to finish tied for sixth at 1-under 212. Dennis Staykov's round was highlighted by an eagle on the ninth hole, as he shot an even 71 on Tuesday and also finished tied for sixth at 1-under 212.
Finlay Cummings shot 24 spots up the leaderboard in Round 3, sinking five birdies in his 2-under 69 round, and finished at 5-over 218 and tied for 22nd. Jose Peralta posted his best score of the tournament, shooting an even 71 and finishing tied for 26th at 6-over 219.
Leo Maciejek also finished tied for 26th at 6-over 219 after a 2-over 73 on Tuesday. Maciejek opened and closed his round with birdies and threw in an eagle on the tenth hole. Wilmer Haakansson finished with another 1-over 72 and tied for 49th at 1-over 224.
The Bisons will return to the course on October 2 in Hot Springs when they compete in the Battle of the Belt, hosted by Henderson State.
