RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team clawed its way to a 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21) victory at Arkansas Tech Thursday in Great American Conference action.
Harding improves to 10-7 on the season and 5-0 in the GAC.
Arkansas Tech falls to 1-13 overall and 1-4 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 10-6 in the first set, Harding went on a 9-3 run on three kills to lead 15-13. Arkansas Tech answered back with a 5-0 run to lead 18-15. The Lady Bisons closed the set on a 10-4 run to win the set 25-22. Harding had 10 kills and hit .250 in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding jumped out to a 11-4 lead in the second set on three blocks. Arkansas Tech battled back and went on a 11-1 run to lead 15-12. Trailing 22-16, Harding fought its way back 24-23 but a Golden Sun kill that gave them the set 25-23. The Lady Bisons had 10 attack errors in the set.
THIRD SET
Trailing 24-17 in the third set, Arkansas Tech went on an 8-0 run to take a 25-24 lead until Harding went on a 3-0 run on two kills and a block to win the set 27-25. The Lady Bisons had nine set points and four attack errors during the Golden Suns run. Harding had 14 kills and forced 11 Golden Sun attack errors in the set.
FOURTH SET
Trailing 11-8 in the fourth set, Harding went on a 11-5 run on three kills to lead 19-16. Leading 23-21, the Lady Bisons had a kill and forced an attack error to win the set 25-21.

- Harding had 43 kills, 29 attack errors and hit .095 in the match.
- Skyler McKinnon led the Lady Bisons with 14 kills and hit .333.
- Emma Winiger led the defense with a match-high 20 digs. As a team, Harding had 58 digs.
Arkansas Tech
- Arkansas Tech had 49 kills, 34 attack errors and hit .093 in the match.
- Savannah Meyer had a match-high 16 kills to lead the Golden Suns.
- Arkansas Tech had 59 digs and were led by Jamie Myrick who had 16.
