HU Volleyball Secures No. 2 Seed in GAC Tournament with 3-1 Win Over Henderson State

SEARCY, Ark. — Harding women's volleyball team clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Great American Conference Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Henderson State on Thursday at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

The Lady Bisons won the match with set scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, and 25-13, improving their overall record to 18-8 and 11-3 in the GAC.

Delaney Garner led Harding with a career-high 20 kills and a .459 hitting percentage, followed by Jacey Lambert with 17 kills and Philomina Klotz with 14. Olivia Wiedower recorded 54 assists, and three players -- Tatum Fouche (17), Maddie Burrough (16) and Avery Stanfill (15) -- had 15 or more digs.

Henderson State took the first set 25-22, despite Harding's late surge. The Lady Bisons fought back from a 24-18 deficit, scoring four consecutive points before ultimately falling.
