No. 4 Harding Rolls Past East Central 34-7

ADA, Okla. — Fourth-ranked Harding cruised to a 34-7 victory over East Central in a Great American Conference football matchup Saturday at Koi Ishto Stadium.

Harding improved to 9-1, extending its winning streak against East Central to 12 games, while the Tigers fell to 4-6.

Braden Jay sparked Harding's offense with two first-half touchdowns, including a 21-yard rush in the first quarter and a 29-yard score in the second. James Satterfield added field goals of 38 and 27 yards.

East Central's lone score came on Tavare Smith Jr.'s 65-yard fumble return touchdown.

In the second half, Andrew Miller scored twice, including a 29-yard touchdown in the third quarter and a 2-yard run in the fourth.

Harding's rushing attack amassed 435 yards, with Miller gaining 151 yards on 16 carries and Jay adding 122 yards on 12 carries. It was Jay's third consecutive 100-yard rushing game and the first time the Bisons had two players over 100 yards since the 2023 national championship game.

The Bison defense stifled East Central, allowing just 106 total yards (54 passing, 52 rushing) and 2.3 yards per play.

Clark Griffin led Harding with 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss.

This marks Harding's sixth game this season with over 400 rushing yards.

The Bison conclude their regular season next Saturday against Arkansas Tech on Senior Day at First Security Stadium, kicking off at 2 p.m.
