Harding Women's Soccer Tops East Central 4-2 on Senior Day, Moves Into First-Place Tie

SEARCY, Ark. — Carmen Gunn scored two first-half goals, leading Harding to a 4-2 victory over East Central in Great American Conference women's soccer action Saturday.

Gunn's goals came in the 4th and 15th minutes, with assists from Lauren Service and Regan Thompson, respectively. Sami Berry added another goal in the 36th minute, assisted by Thompson.

East Central's Abbie Morris and Addisyn Brown scored in the 26th and 45th minutes, respectively.

Georgia Templeton sealed the win with a goal in the 74th minute, assisted by Service.

Harding outshot East Central 23-12 and held a 8-1 advantage in corners.

The Lady Bisons' win improves their record to 7-8-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference, moving them into a first-place tie with Oklahoma Baptist. With one game remaining, Harding travels to Weatherford, Oklahoma, to face Southwestern Oklahoma on Monday.

East Central drops to 5-10-3 overall and 4-5-3 in conference.
