BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Ferris State's Trinidad Chambliss accounted for three touchdowns as the Bulldogs defeated Harding 41-7 in an NCAA Division II playoff quarterfinal game Saturday at Top Taggart Field.

Ferris State (12-1) took control early, scoring on its first two possessions to build a 13-0 lead by halftime. Chambliss scored on an 8-yard run and threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to James Gilbert.

The Bulldogs extended their lead to 20-0 at halftime after capitalizing on a Harding fumble, which led to a 1-yard touchdown run by Kannon Katzer.

Ferris State continued to build its lead in the second half, scoring on its first drive with Chambliss' 4-yard touchdown run. The Bulldogs added two more touchdowns, including a 12-yard pass from Chambliss to Gilbert and a 7-yard run by Katzer.

Harding (12-2) got on the board with 4:35 remaining on an 11-yard touchdown run by Cole Keylon, capping an 80-yard drive.

Blake Delacruz led Harding with 43 rushing yards, while Keylon added 36 yards on nine carries and a touchdown. Harding cornerback Jeremiah Jordan tied a school record with four pass breakups in the game.
