Defending National Champion Harding Bisons Begin Preparations for 2024 Season

Searcy, Ark. - The Harding University Bisons, reigning NCAA Division II football national champions, welcomed 131 players to campus on Wednesday, marking the start of their 2024 season preparations.

After settling into their dorms, the team will engage in a series of meetings on Thursday, followed by their first practice early Friday morning.

The Bisons return a strong core of 13 starters and 43 letterwinners from the 2023 squad that achieved a perfect 15-0 record, secured the Great American Conference championship, and claimed the program's first-ever national title.

The 2024 season kicks off on Thursday, September 5, with a home game against Southern Nazarene at First Security Stadium, starting at 7 p.m.
