Harding Women's Soccer Claims GAC Regular Season Title with 3-0 Victory over East Central

ADA, Okla. — The Harding Lady Bisons secured the Great American Conference (GAC) regular season championship today with a dominant 3-0 shutout victory over the East Central Tigers at Tiger Field. As the regular season champion, Harding will host the GAC Tournament on Nov. 14 & 16 at the Stevens Soccer Complex. It is a four-team, single-elimination tournament featuring two semifinal games on Friday and the championship match on Sunday.

The win improves Harding's overall record to 10-5-2 and their GAC mark to a title-clinching 8-2-1. East Central fell to 1-13-4 overall and 1-7-4 in conference. It was Harding's third GAC regular season championship and first since 2015.

Harding's first-half goals came from Mykala Ulrich in the 10th minute and Sami Berry in the 28th minute (Kloey Fullerton had the assist). Gabie Eddins added the final goal in the 72nd minute.

The Lady Bisons demonstrated a powerful offensive attack, outshooting the Tigers 26-5 in attempts and 9-4 in shots on goal. They also generated significantly more opportunities from the corner, holding a decisive 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Maysa Willis played the full 90 minutes, recording four saves to earn her fifth shutout shutout.

Harding has one final regular season game remaining. The Lady Bisons host Ouachita Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m.
