Audrey Adkison Returns to Harding as Head Women’s Soccer Coach

SEARCY — Harding University Athletic Director Jeff Morgan has announced the hiring of former Lady Bison standout and decorated rising star Audrey Adkison as the new head coach of the Harding women's soccer program.

Adkison returns to her alma mater after serving as the associate head coach and director of recruiting at Abilene Christian University (ACU). A highly respected figure in collegiate soccer, Adkison was recently named a 2024 United Soccer Coaches "30 Under 30" honoree and the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Faith-Based Coach of the Year.

"We are so excited to announce Coach Audrey Adkison as our next head women's soccer coach," Morgan said. "Audrey was a great player for the Lady Bisons and has been equally successful in her coaching journey. Coach Adkison will be an incredible spiritual leader for our team and make a great impact on campus and our community."

Adkison takes over for long-time head coach Dr. Greg Harris, under whom she played during her collegiate career.

"I'm so grateful to Coach Morgan for giving me the opportunity to lead Harding women's soccer," Adkison said. "In the last 25 years, Coach Harris has created an incredible program and left an inspiring legacy of relationships and love for each other and God. I am thankful for having had him as a coach and for his mentorship in my life. I'm looking forward to what God has for Harding women's soccer and cannot wait to get started."

Adkison comes to Searcy with a resume of sustained success across NCAA Division I. Since joining Abilene Christian University in January 2023, she served as associate head coach and director of recruiting. During her time in Abilene, she was named the 2023-2024 ACU Assistant Coach of the Year and the 2025 Abilene Tri-College FCA Coach of the Year. Her role included leading spiritual development, managing recruiting budgets, and overseeing player development.

Prior to ACU, Adkison spent four seasons at Liberty University (2019-2023), where she helped guide the Flames to back-to-back ASUN Conference Championships (2021, 2022) and an NCAA National Tournament appearance in 2021.

Her collegiate coaching career began at the University of Central Arkansas (2016-2018), where she helped lead the Bears to two Southland Conference championships. Over her career, she has coached 27 All-Conference players, six All-Region selections, two Conference Goalkeepers of the Year, and one Conference Defender of the Year.

Adkison is a 2016 graduate of Harding University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. As a player for the Lady Bisons, she was a two-year captain and a key midfielder on the 2015 team that won the Great American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships.

She holds a Master of Exercise Science from the University of Central Arkansas (2018) and possesses a United States Soccer Federation (USF) Class B License.
