Harding Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors, Perry and Walling Receive Individual Recognition

SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding University men's cross country team earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2024 NCAA Division II season, boasting a cumulative team GPA of 3.50.

In addition to the team recognition, two Harding student-athletes, Nathan Perry and Luke Walling, received individual All-Academic honors. Perry, a management major from Purcellville, Virginia, has a 3.83 GPA and finished 60th at the Central Region meet. Walling, a kinesiology and health major from Smithville, Arkansas, has a 3.27 GPA and finished 20th at the Central Region meet.

To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet. Student-athletes must also meet specific academic and athletic criteria to receive individual honors.

Colorado School of Mines was named the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Scholar Team of the Year, with a cumulative team GPA of 3.6.
