Harding Duo Sweeps GAC Track and Field Weekly Honors

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Harding University's Savian Bush and Antiwain Jones earned Great American Conference men's track and field athlete of the week honors, respectively.

Bush, a senior from Tatum, Texas, was named the GAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week after finishing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles at the Music City Challenge. He recorded a time of 7.99 seconds in the final, with a preliminary time of 7.97 seconds that earned him an NCAA Provisional mark. Bush's performance currently ranks him 15th nationally in the 60-meter hurdles.

Jones, a senior from Marianna, Arkansas, was named the GAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week after finishing second in the invitational high jump competition at the Music City Challenge. He cleared 2.06 meters on his second attempt, earning an NCAA Provisional mark. Jones' season-best jump of 2.15m (7-0.5) currently ranks seventh nationally.

The Harding track and field team will be back in action on Friday at the Nebraska Tune Up in Lincoln.
