Malykhin Wins Fifth National Championship; Harding Places 10th at Indoor Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS — Harding's men's track and field team made its presence felt at the NCAA Division II Indoor National Track and Field Championships, with several Bisons earning All-American honors.
Vlad Malykhin led the way, winning his third indoor pole vault national championship and fifth overall with a clearance of 5.54 meters (18' 2"). Malykhin's victory earned him 10 points for the Bisons.

Anton Kopytko added eight points with his second-place finish in the long jump, leaping 7.46 meters (24' 5.75") and earning First Team All-America.

Savian Bush earned All-American honors with his sixth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 7.95 seconds. Bush set a new school record in the preliminary round with a time of 7.89 seconds, breaking Dwayne Allen's 42-year-old mark of 7.90 seconds.

Olaolu Olatunde also earned All-American honors, finishing sixth in the 60 meters with a time of 6.74 seconds. Olatunde broke his own school record in the preliminary round with a time of 6.67 seconds, topping his previous mark of 6.68 seconds.

Antiwain Jones rounded out the Bisons' All-American performances, finishing 11th in the high jump with a clearance of 2.11 meters (6' 11").

Harding finished 10th overall in the team standings with 24 points.
