SEARCY, Ark. - The 13th-ranked Harding softball team was shut out for just the second time this season, falling 1-0 to Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday in Great American Conference action.
The loss snapped a 15-game winning streak by Harding.
Trinity Oden pitched a five-hit shutout for the Savage Storm, striking out five with no walks.
Southeastern Oklahoma scored its run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Sabetha Sands.
Harding's best scoring opportunity came in the sixth inning, when Cameron Timmons and Kaya Lee singled to put runners on first and second with only one out but the Lady Bisons couldn't produce a run.
Riley Price (8-3) took the loss despite allowing just one run on one hit in 2 1/3 innings. Brooklyn Gobble pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings in relief. She had six strikeouts.
The Lady Bisons (29-4, 15-2 GAC) were held to five hits, with Kaya Lee having two of them.
Southeastern Oklahoma improved to 15-17 overall and 8-9 in the GAC.
Harding will be back in action Tuesday when it hosts Delta State in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
