RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The 10th-ranked Harding softball team fell to Arkansas Tech 2-0 Tuesday in Great American Conference action.

It was the third game in the GAC series. Harding took both games on March 11 in Searcy. The Lady Bisons won 4-1 and 4-0.

Brooklyn Gobble (14-3) took the loss for the Lady Bisons, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on four hits while striking out eight.

The decisive runs came in the sixth inning. After Neveah Wilson doubled, Anna Winkfield singled to right center, driving in the first run. Winkfield advanced to second on a wild pitch, and Maycie Hardy followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0.

Harding (33-9, 17-7 GAC) struggled to generate offense, managing only three hits against Arkansas Tech's Alexis Findley (10-8). Emma Curry, Zoey Neal, and Emaline Pearson each recorded a single.

Findley pitched a complete-game shutout for Arkansas Tech (23-20, 13-11 GAC), striking out six and allowing no walks.

Harding's best chance to score came in the seventh inning, when Neal singled and Pearson followed with another single, placing runners on first and second. However, a fly out, and a double play, ended the threat.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action this weekend when it hosts Oklahoma Baptist in a three-game GAC series. First pitch is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m.
