SEARCY, Ark. – Senior Yves Bilong set a new school record in the triple jump to lead the No. 5-ranked Harding men's track and field team to a dominant showing at the Stallion Transportation Bryan Phillips Open this weekend at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track Complex.
Bilong, a native of Saint-Gilles, France, uncorked a massive leap of 16.20m (53-01.75) on his second attempt to win the event. The mark eclipsed his own previous school record of 15.82m set in 2025 and stands as the top mark in NCAA Division II this season. Harding also took second and fourth in the event with Artem Konovalenko (14.99m) and Nathan Boulay (14.12m).
Sprints and Hurdles
The Bisons' speed was on full display as sophomore Caledon Ruwende and senior Savian Bush combined for multiple victories.
Ruwende won the 200-meter dash in a provisional time of 20.92 seconds and added a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash (10.36). Bush continued his dominance in the hurdles, winning the 110-meter hurdles in 13.59 seconds, a mark that comfortably surpassed the NCAA provisional standard. He also added a runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles (53.34).
The Bisons' 4x400-meter relay team of Emmanuel Ragira, Ruwende, Dillon Williams, and Bush capped the track events with a victory, clocking a provisional time of 3:10.02.
Vertical Jumps and Throws
Harding's pole vault contingent swept the top spots, led by junior Everett Mumme. Mumme cleared 5.10m (16-08.75) to take first place, followed by seniors Kylor Aguilar and Isaac Hodges, who both cleared 4.80m (15-09) to tie for second.
In the javelin, the Bisons secured a 1-2-3-4-5 sweep of the top positions. Senior Casen Hammitt led the charge with a throw of 66.50m (218-02). He was followed by freshman Camden Helms (63.34m) and sophomore Christian Erkert (62.82m), all of whom hit NCAA provisional marks.
Freshman Nate Rivers won the shot put title with a toss of 16.38m (53-09) and placed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 51.63m (169-05).
Multi-Events and Distance
Freshman Henry Heilmann captured the decathlon title with 6,825 points, an NCAA provisional qualifying score. Heilmann won five of the ten individual disciplines to lead teammate Isaac Pratt, who finished second with 6,307 points.
On the track, junior Brady Axtell won the 1,500-meter run in 3:57.03, while Noah Haileab placed third in 3:59.16. In the 5,000-meter run, freshman Jack Fink took second place with a time of 15:57.67.
