ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Senior Karli Roux continued her ascent through the Harding record books Saturday, leading the Lady Bisons to a 4-3 victory over Ouachita Baptist at the Heflin Courts at Ward Tennis Center.

The victory snapped a five-match skid for Harding (4-12, 1-2 GAC) and extended the program's winning streak over the Tigers to 27 matches, a stretch of dominance dating back to 2005.

Roux Moves to Seventh All-Time

Ranked No. 26 in the nation, Roux made quick work of Na Zamora Caprirolo at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-1. The victory was the 68th of her career, moving her into a tie with Christina Rodriguez (1994-98) and Laura Tollett (1998-03) for seventh place in Harding program history.

Roux, a Cape Town, South Africa, native, has been a model of consistency for the Lady Bisons, recording double-digit singles wins in each of her four seasons in Searcy.

Lady Bisons Secure the Point

Harding opened the match by gritting out the doubles point. The No. 6-ranked duo of Roux and Brooke Coffman handled their business at the top flight with a 6-3 win. After Ouachita took the match at No. 2, the tandem of Ece Boylu and Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz clinched the 1-0 lead for the Lady Bisons with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 position.

Singles Battle

In addition to Roux's milestone win, Harding picked up critical points from the bottom of the lineup to clinch the dual. Mia Hosking earned her second conference win of the week with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 5, while Paula Rega provided the decisive fourth point with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Marlee Bledsoe at No. 6.

Ouachita Baptist (4-14, 1-2 GAC) made a push in the middle of the lineup, as Anastasia Myachina, Ruxandra Tolescu, and Alice Kubler all earned straight-set wins, but the Tigers could not overcome Harding's strength at the bookends of the order.
