Harding Men’s Track and Field Claims Top-10 Spot in National Rankings

SEARCY, Ark. – The Harding men's track and field team remained among the nation's leaders on Tuesday, checking in at No. 8 in the latest NCAA Division II National Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI).

The Bisons earned their place in the top 10 with a total score of 207.70 points, bolstered by a deep roster that contributed 23 distinct scoring performances to the national rankings. The team's point total consists of 199.43 individual points and 8.27 points from relay events.

The latest ranking reflects a consistent season of high-level production across multiple disciplines, with several individual athletes leading the charge for the Bisons in their respective events.

Senior Savian Bush currently leads Harding's scoring efforts, ranking first nationally in the 110-meter hurdles with his personal-best time of 13.59 seconds, set at the Bryan Phillips Open.

Also providing elite-level production are senior pole vaulter Vlad Malykhin and senior triple jumper Yves Bilong. Malykhin holds the No. 2 national spot in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.55 meters (18-2½), while Bilong ranks second in the triple jump with a leap of 16.20 meters (53-1¾).

The Bisons' distance program also made significant noise in the latest index. Freshman Benson Lingokal surged into the national conversation with his performance in the 10,000-meter run, currently ranking third in the country after posting a time of 28:45.43 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Other notable contributors powering the Bisons' ascent include senior javelin thrower Casen Hammitt, who sits ninth nationally with a toss of 69.48 meters (227-11), and junior Everett Mumme, who holds the No. 9 spot in the pole vault after clearing 5.20 meters (17-¾).

Harding's strong standing in the TFRI comes as the team enters the final stretch of the outdoor season, proving the Bisons have the necessary depth and elite talent to compete on the national stage as postseason meets approach.
