SEARCY, Ark. – The No. 9-ranked Harding men's track and field team concluded its regular season schedule Sunday, hosting the Mother's Day Last Chance Meet at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex.
With many of the Bisons' top national qualifiers resting after a heavy week of competition, the meet provided a final tune-up for a squad that currently boasts seven individual marks ranked in the top 10 of NCAA Division II.
Hurdles and Sprints Senior Savian Bush, the nation's second-ranked athlete in the 110-meter hurdles, showed he is in peak form heading into the postseason. Bush won the event in 13.92 seconds, marking his third sub-14 second performance in the last 12 days.
In the sprints, senior Donald Nwamere took the top spot in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.71, narrowly edging teammate Brayden Shine (10.74). Shine returned later to take second in the 200-meter dash, clocking a 21.65.
The Bisons also swept the relay events, with the 4x100m team winning in 40.74 and the 4x400m squad—consisting of Emmanuel Ragira, Caledon Ruwende, Dillon Williams, and Bush—cruising to a victory in 3:11.58.
Field Event Leaders The Bisons' dominant pole vault crew saw a co-victory from junior Isaac Hodges and freshman Cooper Wingfield, who both cleared 4.86m (15-11.25). For Wingfield, it was a solid performance to cap his freshman regular season, while Hodges maintained his rhythm following a season-best clearance earlier in the week at the Arkansas Twilight.
Freshman Nathan Boulay claimed the triple jump title with a leap of 14.80m (48-06.75). Boulay, who currently ranks in the top 30 nationally, led a field that saw national No. 2 Yves Bilong sit out to prepare for the NCAA Championships.
In the throws, senior Casen Hammitt—ranked 10th in Division II—won the javelin with a toss of 62.11m (203-09). Freshman Nate Rivers added a pair of second-place finishes in the shot put (14.96m) and the hammer throw (46.73m).
National Outlook As the qualifying window officially closes, the Bisons sit in a historic position with several athletes poised for All-American honors:
Up Next The Bisons now await the official announcement of the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships field. The national meet is scheduled to take place in late May, where Harding will look to improve upon its top-10 national ranking.
