BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Harding softball team's 2026 season came to an abrupt end Friday afternoon as the Lady Bisons fell 9-0 in five innings to top-seeded Arkansas Tech in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament at the Bentonville Tiger Athletic Complex.
Harding finishes the season with a 28-23 overall record.
The Golden Suns (42-13) wasted no time, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back. The Arkansas Tech offense proved too much to handle, culminating in a decisive three run second and a four run third.
The final blow came in the bottom of the fourth when Miya Curry singled through the right side to drive in Caroline Wilhelm, pushing the lead to 9-0.
Harding struggled to find an answer for the Arkansas Tech pitching staff, managing only a handful of baserunners throughout the contest. The Lady Bisons were held scoreless for just the seventh time this season.
Brooklyn Gobble (18-16) took the loss in her final appearance of the year, while the Arkansas Tech duo of Aly White (14-5) and Ainslee Moore combined to keep the Harding bats quiet.
