SEARCY, Ark. — Four standout members of the Harding women's golf team have been named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced Monday.
Seniors Pilar Martinez and Madeleine Wilson, along with juniors Sydney Kincade and Cooper Meyer, each earned the prestigious academic honor. The recognition highlights a group of student-athletes who balanced elite athletic production with exceptional academic performance throughout their collegiate careers.
The WGCA All-American Scholar Team recognized 1,551 women's collegiate golfers nationwide this year. The selection criteria are regarded as some of the most stringent in college athletics. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, remain an amateur on the active roster through the end of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
All four Lady Bisons met these high standards while also leading Harding to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Central Regional in May.
Harding's 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholars:
-
Sydney Kincade | Junior | Prosper, Texas Kincade, an exercise science major, leads the Lady Bisons academically with a 3.91 cumulative GPA. On the course, she concluded her stellar season as Harding's all-time leader in career scoring average (76.47). This season, Kincade posted a 76.46 stroke average over 28 rounds.
-
Cooper Meyer | Junior | Salado, Texas Meyer, a health studies major, boasts an outstanding 3.77 cumulative GPA. She was a key contributor to the Lady Bisons' lineup, competing in 22 rounds this season with a 79.41 stroke average to help lead the team to back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances.
-
Madeleine Wilson | Senior | Springdale, Ark. Wilson, a marketing major, carries a strong 3.70 cumulative GPA. She put together an impressive final season on the course, carding a 76.88 stroke average over 25 rounds with three top-five individual finishes.
-
Pilar Martinez | Senior | Aguascalientes, Mexico Martinez, also a marketing major, maintains a 3.65 cumulative GPA. She led the Lady Bisons on the course this season with a team-best 76.36 stroke average over 28 rounds, which ranks as the third-best single-season average in program history.
This academic accolade is the latest in a series of offseason honors for the quartet, who were also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team earlier this summer.
