WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Second-ranked Harding scored 21 unanswered second-half points, powered by a 98-yard kickoff return touchdown from Jeff Regan and a historic performance from Andrew Miller, to pull away for a 37-14 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night at Flex-Chem Field.

The victory extended the Bisons' Great American Conference winning streak to 16 games and stretched their active road winning streak to eight straight.

Harding (2-0, 2-0 GAC) opened the scoring behind placekicker Dean Roberts, who drilled a 32-yard field goal on the Bisons' opening drive. SWOSU briefly claimed a 7-3 advantage when Knox Dyson connected with DeAndre Beasley for a 60-yard touchdown pass—the longest reception allowed by Harding's defense since 2023. Roberts cut the deficit to 7-6 with a 45-yard field goal late in the opening quarter.

The Bisons took the lead for good early in the second quarter after Grayson Lewis recovered a muffed punt return at the SWOSU 27-yard line, setting up a 1-yard touchdown plunge by Miller. After Bryce Rushing preserved the lead by blocking a 42-yard SWOSU field goal attempt, Roberts booted a career-long 49-yard field goal as time expired in the half to give Harding a 16-7 cushion. Roberts became the first Bison kicker to convert three field goals in a single half since Ryan Ferrell in 2008.

SWOSU trimmed the deficit to 16-14 on Charles Mutter's 19-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Dockins Jr. midway through the third quarter. Fourteen seconds later, Regan answered by fielding the ensuing kickoff at the 2-yard line and racing 98 yards for a touchdown—the fourth-longest kickoff return in program history—to push the lead to 23-14.

Miller put the game out of reach on the first play of the fourth quarter, bursting up the middle for a 57-yard touchdown run. The score marked Miller's 53rd career rushing touchdown, moving him into sole possession of second place on Harding's all-time list, and highlighted a 178-yard effort on 34 carries for his 16th career 100-yard game.

Caden Davis intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter, setting up a 40-yard touchdown sweep by Regan with 12 seconds remaining. Harding dominated line-of-scrimmage play, outrushing SWOSU 314-56 and controlling time of possession 38:03 to 21:57, led defensively by Kaleb Walker's five tackles and two sacks.
