SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding women's cross-country team dominated its home course Friday evening, recording a perfect team score of 15 points to win the 6th Annual Steve Guymon Invitational at the Harding Cross Country Course.
The Lady Bisons captured the top five individual spots in the 5K race, finishing with a total time of 1:38:00 and an ultra-tight pack spread of just 3.4 seconds among their scoring five.
5th-year runner Dinah Winders led the sweep, capturing the individual title with a winning time of 19:34.4. She was followed closely by a trio of 1st-year runners—Jacobi Ruiz (19:35.8), Elle Williamson (19:35.8), and Harper Counts (19:35.8)—who crossed the finish line together in second, third, and fourth places. 4th-year runner Jessica Chappell completed the perfect scoring sweep by taking fifth place in 19:37.8.
2nd-year runner Addison Lyles (20:05.7) and 3rd-year Zoe Williamson (20:14.5) served as displacers, finishing seventh and eighth overall. 1st-year runners Anna Stone (20:25.8) and Asah Roy (20:25.8), 3rd-year runner Abigail Penick (20:25.9), and 1st-year runner Hailey Von Willer (20:25.9) rounded out Harding's top 10 finishers.
Harding outpaced second-place Blue Mountain (48 points), third-place Lyon (82 points), and fourth-place Williams Baptist (110 points). Friday's victory marks Harding's second consecutive Guymon Invitational team championship and third overall home title in the event's six-year history. The Lady Bisons previously won team titles in 2023 (24 points) and 2025 (27 points), while taking second-place finishes in 2021, 2022, and 2024. Winders becomes the third Lady Bison individual champion in meet history, joining past winners Nieves Megias (2021) and Vivien Kipkorir (2025).
