Sweep in Searcy: Lady Bisons Roll Past Missouri S&T in Straight Sets

SEARCY, Ark. — Ella Drake and Rauly Eason each put down 12 kills to propel the Harding Lady Bisons to a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-17, 25-19) over Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding (11-1, 1-0 GAC) delivered an efficient offensive performance, hitting .255 as a team while holding the visiting Miners (7-4, 0-0 GLVC) to a .127 attack percentage.

Eason was clinical at the net, attacking at a .579 clip with only one error on 19 attempts while anchoring the defense with a career-high eight block assists. Setter Olivia Wiedower orchestrated the offense with 38 assists and recorded a double-double by adding 11 digs. Mallory Weyand led all defensive players on the back row with 23 digs.

Philomina Klotz and Josie Bishop added seven kills apiece for the Lady Bisons, with Klotz hitting .412 alongside four blocks.

After pulling away late in a tight 25-21 opening set, Harding hit a match-high .484 in the second frame, committing zero attack errors on 31 total attempts to win 25-17. The Lady Bisons sealed the match in the third set behind a four-point serving run from Carter Fouche that broke open a close frame.

Elly Decker led Missouri S&T with 10 kills and two service aces, while libero Adelyn Weiler gathered 25 digs.

Harding returns to Great American Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 15, when they host Ouachita Baptist at 6 p.m.
