• Started all 11 games at right tackle ... played 749 of Harding's 825 plays from scrimmage (91 percent) ... ranked second on the team with an 82 percent grade on the offensive line ... played ever snap of five games ... received HU's top offensive line grade (85%) vs. Henderson State (10/31).

Previous Schools

• Played in three games in 2007 on the offensive line for Southeastern Louisiana, including contests against Tulane and Kansas.
• Attended Winfield City High School where he earned honorable mention all-state honors as a senior ... coached by Danny Adams ... in 2004, Simmons' team set the single-season rushing record for all classes in Alabama and had the Alabama Class 3A Back of the Year ... also a member of the track team, won the state championship in the shot put as a senior.
