Kevin Chism

AT HARDING
Chism became an assistant coach at Harding in 2012 and serves as the team's offensive line coach.

Coaching Highlights:
  • Served as Harding's offensive line coach on the 2023 NCAA Division II national championship team.
  • Harding has a 125-26 record in Chism's 14 seasons and has made nine NCAA Division II Playoffs appearances, reaching the NCAA Division II semifinals in 2017 and winning the national championship in 2023 ... has coached in 21 postseason games for Harding.
  • Has coached 13 First Team All-GAC offensive linemen, including All-Americans Jake Dugger, Tory Day, Gavin De Los Santos, Sam Wilson, Hunter Willis (2023 Willie Roaf Award winner as top offensive lineman in Arkansas), and Bryce Bray (2018 Rimington Award winner as top center in Division II and Willie Roaf Award).
  • Harding has ranked in the top four in Division II in rushing every season since 2012 and has led the nation in rushing six times, including the last five seasons.
  • His 2023 offensive line paved the way for Harding to rush for 6,160 yards, the most ever by a college football team.
PLAYING CAREER
A defensive end at Harding from 1998-2000, Chism recorded 54 tackles, including 13.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in a three-year career.

EDUCATION
Chism earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Harding in 2001 and his master's in business administration in 2015.

FAMILY
Chism is married to the former Jennifer Greene of Spring, Texas. The couple have five children--Lexi, Aaron, Eli, Ben and Emma. Jennifer serves as Harding's athletics insurance coordinator.
