Transferred to Harding following his freshman season at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas ... competed in cross country and track and field for the Chaps ... clocked collegiate personal bests of 1:57.18 in the outdoor 800 meters, 4:25.02 in the 1,500 meters, and 29:38.90 in the cross country 8K.

A middle-distance specialist out of Paradise High School in Paradise, Texas ... established high school personal bests of 51.54 seconds in the 400 meters, 1:57.19 in the 800 meters, and 4:50.19 in the 1,600 meters.
