At Harding
Chris Wiman became a softball assistant coach at Harding in 2022.
Playing Career
Wiman pitched collegiately at Abilene Christian University from 2005-08. As a junior, he set the school season record for wins in a season as he went 13-5 and led the nation in wins. Wiman struck out 80 and walked only 29 batters in 91 innings pitched. Over his career at ACU he was a three-time all-Lone Star Conference selection.
In the summer of 2006, Wiman pitched for the Chatham A's in the famed Cape Cod Baseball League against some of the nation's top college hitters and professional prospects. In 38 innings pitched, he allowed 37 hits while striking out 29 and walking 12.
Wiman went on to play professional baseball in the Frontier League for the Southern Illinois Miners, where he was selected as a mid-season all-star in his rookie season.
