AT HARDING
Louis Bonner joined the Harding men's basketball coaching staff in May 2026.
BEFORE HARDING
Bonner has spent his entire career dedicated to the art of coaching. He first began coaching in 2001 at Bossier Parish Community College where he was named Louisiana Junior College Coach of the Year and conference coach of the year in 2005 and also where he served as athletic director for four years. He spent time at Arkansas Baptist College as the associate head men's coach and Lisa Academy West as the senior high girls and boys head coach. Most recently, Bonner coached at Central Arkansas Christian schools for six years — five as the assistant for the varsity boys' basketball team and one as the head coach of varsity girls' basketball program.
PLAYING CAREER
Bonner was a forward/center for the Bison basketball team from 1996-1998, averaging 9.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He ranks among Harding's career leaders in blocked shots.
EDUCATION
Bonner earned his Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology in 2000 from Harding University.
FAMILY
He has been married to Rebecca Bonner since 2002, and they have one daughter — Brooklyn.
