AT HARDING
Travis Lauterbach is in his fifth year as Harding's Athletics Compliance Officer. He originally joined the administrative staff in June 2021 and oversees departmental adherence to NCAA and conference regulations.
In addition to his administrative duties, Lauterbach served as the head men's and women's golf coach for the 2023-24 season. During his one season at the helm, he guided the men's team to a bid in the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional. He returned to his compliance role full-time following the season.
PRIOR TO HARDING
Before returning to his alma mater, Lauterbach served as the men's and women's golf coach at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, from 2017-20. He spent the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
From 2012-17, Lauterbach was the head men's and women's golf coach at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. At Faulkner, he was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2013.
Prior to his coaching career, Lauterbach worked as a full-time caddie from 2009-2012 at some of the most prestigious golf courses in the country, including Augusta National Golf Club, Whistling Straits, TPC Sawgrass, TPC Potomac, and Maroon Creek Golf Club. He was named Caddie of the Year at TPC Potomac in 2009.
EDUCATION
Lauterbach earned his bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Harding University in 2006. He continued his education at Harding and earned a master's degree in business administration in 2007.
FAMILY
Lauterbach and his wife, Lara, have three children—Collins, Cade, and Luke.
