At Harding

Zach Beasley enters his eighth season on the Harding University baseball coaching staff in 2026-27, serving as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. In addition to his recruiting duties, Beasley acts as the program's hitting coach and defensive coordinator, primarily working with the infielders.

Since joining the Harding staff in 2020, Beasley has played an integral role in the continued development and success of the program, contributing to a 248-141 (.640) record during his tenure. He has coached more than 20 All-Great American Conference and All-Region position players.

Beasley has been instrumental in helping Harding establish itself as one of the premier programs in the Great American Conference. He helped lead the Bisons to back-to-back GAC Championships in 2024 and 2025, marking the first consecutive conference championships in program history. Harding also made consecutive NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament appearances in 2024 and 2025, another program first.

The 2025 season marked one of the most successful campaigns in Harding baseball history, as the Bisons finished 41-19 for the program's first 40-win season since 2011. Beasley has also been a key contributor to Harding's longest stretch of consecutive 30-win seasons, spanning from 2022 through 2026.

As the program's hitting coach, Beasley has helped develop one of the most productive offenses in Harding history. The Bisons established program-record OPS marks of .890 in 2023 and .892 in 2025. Harding's 2025 offense launched 76 home runs—ranking 18th nationally and representing the highest single-season national home run ranking in school history.

Beasley's impact extends to the defensive side of the diamond as well. He has coached and developed two ABCA/Rawlings Division II Gold Glove infielders: shortstop Connor Kelly in 2021 and third baseman Logan Lacey in 2023. Under his direction, Harding has consistently ranked among the nation's top defensive teams.

Prior to Harding

Prior to returning to Harding as a full-time assistant coach, Beasley served as the head baseball coach and assistant football coach for the Hazen School District from July through December 2019. He also served as a graduate assistant coach at Harding during the 2019 season.

Playing Career

Beasley was a five-year member of the Harding baseball program from 2014 to 2018. During his career, he appeared in 182 games and recorded a .282 batting average with 72 runs scored, 29 doubles, and 80 RBIs. He established himself as one of the program's premier defensive first basemen, ranking among Harding's career leaders in putouts, fielding percentage, double plays turned, and total chances.

Beasley is a 2017 Harding graduate. He received his master's degree from Harding in 2019.
