AT HARDING
Scott Goode is in his 27th year leading the sports information office at Harding. He joined the full-time staff in 1999 and serves as the primary media contact for the university's athletic programs.
During his tenure, Goode has overseen the publicity for Harding's transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II and the Great American Conference. He has earned significant recognition for his work in the field, including the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 25-Year Award in 2025. Additionally, he has received numerous CSC Fred Stabley Sr. regional honors for his writing and storytelling, along with various national and regional publication awards.
While a student at Harding, Goode worked for two years in the sports information office as a student assistant, serving as the primary contact for baseball and the secondary contact for football and basketball. He was honored with Harding's Distinguished Service Award in 2013.

Committees & Organizations: Goode is a long-time member of College Sports Communicators and has served on numerous committees within the organization.

International Experience: He has worked several national and international baseball tournaments, including the 2006 World Baseball Classic.

Consulting: He currently serves as a consultant to the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) for the organization's world rankings.

Olympic Experience: Goode served as a media relations intern for the 1996 U.S. Olympic baseball team.

Event Management: He worked the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight in 2005 and 2006.
EDUCATION
Goode graduated from Harding University in 1997 with a degree in social sciences.
FAMILY
Goode is married to the former Cassie Hale, also a Harding graduate. The couple has two daughters, Anna and Caroline.
