SEARCY – Delta State reserve freshman forward Florian Parisot volleyed in a cross from freshman midfielder Steven Axe to give the Statesmen a 1-0 Gulf South Conference road victory over Harding on Friday.
Delta State (6-5-1, 1-0-1) had only five shots in the game, but Parisot's goal in the 78th minute was all it needed. Harding (3-9-0, 0-3-0) had 19 shots but saw its school record five-game home winning streak come to an end. The Bisons have yet to score a goal in its three conference matches.
