SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Drury University scored five second half goals and defeated Harding 7-0 on Friday night in men's soccer action. The Panthers had 32 shots in the game to only four for the Bisons.
Drury (3-0) entered the game as the No. 6 team in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region and remained undefeated in four games against Harding (0-4).
Micah Whorton and Danny Collins scored two goals each for the Panthers, who also received goals from Andrew Bordelon, Connor McClellan and Joshua Hokanson.
Harding used both of its goalkeepers in the game with
James Thurmond playing the first half and making seven saves.
Andrew Flesher played the second half and had five saves.
The Bisons had three of their four shots on goal, but Panther goalkeeper Stephen Connor made the save each time.
Harding's game with Drury was its third consecutive road game. The Bisons are back at home Monday at 7:30 p.m. against nationally-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic.
