Lady Bisons Fall to #13 Arkansas Tech, 95-68

SEARCY – Arkansas Tech shot 58.2 percent from the field to take a 95-68 Gulf South Conference victory away from the Harding women's basketball team Saturday night. Harding falls to 8-7 on the season and 1-2 in the GSC West Division.

Arkansas Tech (16-0, 3-0 GSC) had eight players shoot above 50 percent from the field. Katie Horsman was 5-of-5 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the three-point line.

The Lady Bisons had a good night from the free throw line, hitting 27-of-35. Bailey St. Clair hit 12-of-16 from the free throw line and ended with a team high 18 points.  

Senior Stacey Owens wasn't far behind St. Clair scoring 17 points on the night. Owens led the Lady Bisons on the boards, grabbing seven. Sophomore Sierra Rollins tied a career high with 16 points.  St. Clair had a career high five assists in the game.

Horsman was one of five players that ended with double-figure scoring; all the players were Golden Suns starters. Jenny Vining led all points with 19. Jessica Weatherford added 17. Horsman and Natalia Santos each added 14 points. Laura Beth Anderson added 11 points.

Arkansas Tech out rebounded Harding, 33-29. The Golden Suns forced 24 Lady Bisons turnovers and ended with 15 steals.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action next Thursday night, hosting Christian Brothers at 5:30 p.m., in Searcy, Ark.
