SEARCY – Central Baptist midfielder T.J. Rodriguez scored two goals in an eight-minute span of the first half to give the Mustangs a 2-0 victory over Harding in non-conference men's soccer action Thursday at the HU Soccer Field.

Central Baptist (11-4-0) managed only six shots in the game, three of them on-goal. Rodriguez's goals both came on shots from outside the 18-yard box and were his third and fourth goals of the season.

Harding (2-9-0) had 16 shots in the game, 12 in the second half, but only got four on-goal. Sophomore Jackson Savage had seven of Harding's shots.

Chance Murphy made four saves in the shutout for Central Baptist. Will Reno had one save for Harding.

Harding's next action is Oct. 19 against Southwestern Christian in Bethany, Okla.
