SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team hosts two Gulf South Conference East Division teams this weekend at the Rhodes Field House. On Friday, the Lady Bisons will host Alabama-Huntsville at 5:30 p.m., and on Saturday they will host North Alabama at 5:30 p.m.

HARDING'S PROBABLE STARTERS
NOTES FOR THE WEEKEND
Harding enters the game with a 5-2 record after defeating Ecclesia 80-43 last Saturday. Harding's five wins have all been by 20 points or more. The two losses have been by six points or less.
Junior guard Sierra Rollins leads the Lady Bisons, averaging 10.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Fellow junior Cherilyn McMenamy isn't far behind her averaging 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Harding ranks in the top 10 in the NCAA Division II in four categories: scoring defense, field-goal percentage defense, steals per game and turnover margin. The Lady Bisons rank third in scoring defense (47.4 pointers per game). The Harding defense also ranks third in field-goal percentage (30.2 percent). The Lady Bisons rank eighth in steals per game (16.1) and rank ninth in turnover margin (8.71).
Harding ranks third in the GSC in steals. The Lady Bisons are averaging 16.1 a game. Leading the way is senior guard Bailey St. Clair who averages 3.7 a game.
Harding is coached by Tim Kirby, who is in his 6th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons. Kirby has compiled a 91-59 record at Harding.
Alabama-Huntsville
Alabama-Huntsville enters the game with a 2-6 record. The Lady Chargers defeated GSC West Division opponent Christian Brothers earlier this season, 82-74.
UAH is coached by Roy Heintz who enters his second season as the Lady Chargers head coach.
Alabama-Huntsville has seven freshmen on their team; three of them start.
The Lady Chargers have five players who average over 10 points per game. Leading the way is freshman guard Jasmine Hammon who averages 16.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Jordan Smith averages 12.7 points per game, senior guard Candace Lee averages 11.6 points per game, freshman guard Janie Graves averages 10.5 points per game and Erin Reynolds averages 10.2 points per game.
Harding and Alabama-Huntsville are meeting for the 12th time. The Lady Bisons lead the series 10-1. Last season in Huntsville, Harding won 49-45.
North Alabama
North Alabama enters the game with a 5-3 record. Three of the Lions' wins came against GSC West Division teams-- Henderson State, Christian Brothers and Ouachita Baptist.
The Lions are led by senior forward Niala Harris who averages 18.3 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. Senior guard Sanqueeta Meardith is the other UNA player that averages double-figures with 12.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Harding leads the series 10-5. The last time the two teams met was last season in the first round of the GSC Tournament. The Lady Bisons advanced, winning 73-66.
