Lady Bison Basketball Picks up Third Straight Win on Friday

SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team scored 32 points off 27 Alabama-Huntsville turnovers to pick up their third straight win Friday night in non-conference action 80-56. The Lady Bisons improved to 6-2 on the season. 

In all six wins this season, the Lady Bisons have defeated their opponent by more than 20 points.

The Lady Bisons grabbed 24 offensive rebounds and turned them into 21 points in the game. It was the second time this season Harding has had over 20 offensive rebounds in a game.

Harding had three players finish in double-figure scoring. Leading the way was senior guard Bailey St. Clair who had 15 points and tied a team high with nine rebounds. Freshman forward Kristen Celsor also finished with nine rebounds. Junior guard Sierra Rollins and senior forward Danielle Reiher each finished with 13 points for the Lady Bisons.

The Lady Chargers were led by freshman Jasmine Hammon who had 25 points, hitting 8-of-10 from the free throw line. She also had seven rebounds. Senior guard Candace Lee hit 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point line and finished with 15 points for Alabama-Huntsville. Senior forward Andrea Bennett captured a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Bisons won the battle in the paint scoring 38 points to the Lady Chargers 16.

Harding will be back in action on Saturday as the host North Alabama at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes Field House.
