MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-The #9 West Florida Argonauts rolled through the Harding Bisons by a score of 5-0 in first-round action of the NCAA South Region Tournament on Thursday.

The Argonauts took command early with an 8-3 win at number two doubles to start the match. The West Florida (12-10) pair of Andrey Pozhidaev and Mike Lue defeated the Bisons team of Chris Beach and Ivan Michelli to start the day.

The second match completed was at number one doubles. The #6 Argo team of Kevin Ducros and Leandro Ferreira beat Harding's (14-8) top team of Henrique and Marco Ruiz 8-6.

Rounding out doubles, and completing the sweep for the Argonauts were Sean Gunnels and Patrick Bateman. At number three doubles, West Florida defeated Adam Edwards and Helio Hashimoto 8-5. The win put the
Argos just two victories away from advancing to the second round.

The first singles win came from the bottom of the lineup where UWF's Mike Lue handily beat Helio Hashimoto 6-1, 6-1. The final win came from Nathan Rosenfeld at the number four singles spot. Rosenfeld put a 6-1, 6-2 win in the books against Harding's Ivan Michelli to end the match.
