SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team travels to Florence, Ala., on Wednesday as they take on North Alabama at 11 a.m., for their final non-conference game before the start of Gulf South Conference action.

NOTES FOR THE CLASSIC

Harding enters the game with an 8-3 record after defeating District of Columbia and West Florida last week in the West Florida Classic in Pensacola, Fla.

Junior guard Sierra Rollins leads the Lady Bisons, averaging 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Rollins has averaged a double-double in the last two games for the Lady Bisons. Senior guard Bailey St. Clair isn't far behind her averaging 10.4 points and 3.8 steals per game.

Harding ranks in the top 10 in the NCAA Division II in four categories: scoring defense, field-goal percentage defense, steals per game and turnover margin. The Lady Bisons rank third in scoring defense (47.4 pointers per game). The Harding defense also ranks third in field-goal percentage (30.2 percent). The Lady Bisons rank eighth in steals per game (16.1) and rank ninth in turnover margin (8.71).

Harding ranks first in the GSC in steals. The Lady Bisons are averaging 16.1 a game. Leading the way is senior guard Bailey St. Clair who averages 3.8 a game.

Harding is coached by Tim Kirby, who is in his 6th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons. Kirby has compiled a 94-60 record at Harding.

North Alabama

The two teams met earlier this season in Searcy. North Alabama snapped Harding's 28 game non-conference home winning streak in the 50-46 win.

The Lions are led by Niala Harris who averages 16.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. Sanqueeta Meardith also averages double-figures for North Alabama with an average of 12.7 points per game.

Harding leads the series between the two teams 10-7. In Florence, neither team has the upper hand has the series is tied 3-3.
