Lady Bisons Fall to Ouachita Baptist 76-61

SEARCY – Two Ouachita Baptist players combined for 46 points as the Lady Tigers went on to defeat the Harding women's basketball team 76-61 in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday at the Rhodes Field House.

Junior guard A'Laeshia Adams hit 9-of-15 shots and  scored 28 points for OBU. Senior guard Gabby Coleman captured a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Tigers.

Harding jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the opening 45 seconds of the game but back-to-back 3-pointers by the Lady Tigers gave OBU an 8-5 advantage. Harding rallied and took a one-point lead with 15:34 left in the first half, but Ouachita Baptist quickly took back the lead on a Coleman layup. OBU pulled away and led 39-32 at halftime. OBU built on their lead in the second half, leading by as much as 17 points.

Senior guard Bailey St. Clair led Harding with 21 points. Junior guard Sierra Rollins captured her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Ouachita Baptist held Harding to shooting 18-of-55 from the field (32.7 percent) and forced 24 turnovers on 17 steals.

Harding is 6-5 in GSC openers.

The Lady Bisons continue GSC action on Thursday as they travel to Magnolia, Ark., to face Southern Arkansas at 5:30 p.m.
