SEARCY – The Harding men's soccer team plays its final regular season game Friday against Ouachita Baptist with a spot in the Gulf South Conference Tournament on the line. The winner of the Bisons and Tigers' second matchup of the season qualifies as the fourth seed in the tournament, which will be held Nov. 5-6 in Pensacola, Fla.
GAME NOTES
* If the game ends in a tie, the fourth seed will be determined by the conference BCS-like tiebreaker system.
* Harding enters the game 6-10-1 overall and 1-3-0 in GSC action. The Bisons have won three of their last four games and have outscored their opponents 10-3 in those contests.
* Harding has 13 players that have scored goals this season, 10 with assists, and 11 with ten shots or more.
*The Bisons are averaging 1.18 goals per game and allowing 1.41. Harding is averaging 12.8 shots and allowing 14.2 shots.
* Ouachita Baptist enters the game 4-8-1 overall and 1-3-0 in GSC action. The Tigers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over Delta State in GSC play Sunday in Arkadelphia. Ouachita Baptist then defeated hapless Dallas Christian College 15-0 on Tuesday.
* Nearly half (15 of 31) of Ouachita Baptist's goals this season came in the game against Dallas Christian. With the goal onslaught in that game, OBU averages 2.38 goals per game and allows 1.69. The Tigers average 11.4 shots per game and allow 9.9.
* Harding and Ouachita Baptist are meeting for the 14th time overall and second time this season. The Bisons defeated the Tigers 2-1 in Searcy on Sept. 9. Harding leads the all-time series 8-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in Arkadelphia. Two previous meetings have gone into overtime.
