Rollins Leads Lady Bison Basketball to Win over West Florida

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Senior guard Sierra Rollins scored 21 points to led the Harding women's basketball team to a 53-46 victory over West Florida on Saturday in the final round of the UWF Classic. The Lady Bisons improved to 7-3 on the season.

Rollins made 8-of-14 shots and grabbed 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

Harding led by as much as 12 with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the game. The Argonauts slowly battled back as they cut the HU lead to three with 35 second remaining. The Lady Bisons then made six-straight free throws to seal the victory.

For the second-straight game, sophomore forward Kristen Celsor finished in double-figure scoring. She had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Bisons.

Harding was outshot in the game. The Lady Bisons shot 31 percent (15-of-49) as West Florida shot 32 percent (16-of-50). It was the first time this season HU was outshot in a win.

West Florida (4-8) was led by Sher'Ryan Scott who had 15 points.

The Lady Bisons will have the week off before hosting Southern Arkansas on Jan. 7 to open Great American Conference action at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes Field House.
