Lady Bison Basketball Hosts Christian Brothers on Tuesday

SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team looks for their second-straight win on Tuesday as they host Christian Brothers in non-conference action at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Bisons head into the game with a 3-2 overall record.

HU has won the last four meetings against CBU, including an 82-54 win earlier this season in Memphis, Tenn. The series is tied between the two teams at 18 apiece.

Harding is led by senior guard Sierra Rollins who averages 14.6 points (seventh in Great American Conference) and 9.2 rebounds per game (first in the GAC). Freshman guard Shana Holmes also averages double-figure scoring with 11.2 points per game. She also ranks first in the GAC in free throw percentage (90.9).

Freshmen Montana Lewis and Arielle Saunders are perfect from the free throw line this season. Lewis has made 5-of-5 and Saunders has made 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.

The Lady Bisons rank first in the GAC in two categories – blocked shots (3.8 per game) and Turnover margin (+6.00).

Christian Brothers, a NCAA Division II member of the Gulf South Conference, heads into the game with a 2-5 overall record.  Two of their five loses came against #2 Arkansas Tech, a GAC member. The Lady Bucs are led by Jasmine Ellis who averages 10.3 points and 7.6 rebounds. Jessica Green is close behind Ellis averaging 10.0 points per game.
