Harding Game Notes
SEARCY – The Harding men's basketball team plays its final game of a four-game home stand Saturday against 18th-ranked Alabama-Huntsville at the Rhodes Field House. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
Harding (4-2) is coming off a 72-60 loss to Christian Brothers at the Rhodes on Tuesday. The Bisons have lost twice this season and both came to the Bucs. Junior forward Zach Roddenberry led Harding with a career-high 18 points, making 7-of-8 shots from the field.
Alabama-Huntsville enters the game 5-2 overall and coming off a 98-68 victory over Oakwood on Sunday. The Chargers are playing only their second road game of the season. UAH won 84-77 at Catawba in Salisbury, N.C., on Nov. 20.
Saturday's game will be the second between the two teams this season. Harding defeated then-No. 2 Alabama-Huntsville 65-63 on Nov. 28. Sophomore Weston Jameson led the Bisons in that game with a career-high 20 points, hitting 6-of-9 3-pointers.
Harding and Alabama-Huntsville have met 17 times with the Bisons holding a 9-8 lead. Harding has won four of six meetings in Searcy.
The Bisons are 13-24 in the NCAA era against nationally-ranked teams. Harding is seeking its fourth straight victory over a nationally-ranked team. The Bisons have defeated the Chargers twice in its current run of three victories against teams in the top 25.
