CONWAY, Ark. – The Harding men's tennis squad remained unbeaten in five matches this season with a 9-0 victory over John Brown on Saturday at the Mabee Indoor Tennis Center.
The Bisons, ranked 15th in the NCAA II South Region, cruised through the three doubles matches. Henrique Ruiz and Alex Ford, Harding's No. 1 doubles team, won 8-3 and improved to 4-1 in dual matches. The No. 2 team of Ivan Michelli and Helio Hashimoto lost just one game in an 8-1 victory and remained perfect at 6-0. Adam Edwards and Germans Uglovs earned an 8-0 shutout at No. 3.
Harding also won all six singles matches without losing a set. Ford (No. 2), Edwards (No. 4), Hashimoto (No. 5), and Uglovs (No. 6) all won without losing a game. The Bisons have not lost a dual match at No. 4, No. 5, or No. 6 singles this season.
John Brown, a member of the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference, fell to 0-2. Harding ran its winning streak over John Brown to 34 matches.
