Lady Bisons Travel to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday

SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team starts the second half of the Gulf South Conference schedule on Thursday as they take on Ouachita Baptist at 6 p.m., in Arkadelphia, Ark.

NOTES FOR THE GAME

Harding enters the game with a 14-5 overall record and a 5-2 GSC West Division record after defeating Henderson State 83-74 on Saturday.

Junior guard Sierra Rollins leads the Lady Bisons, averaging 14.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. In GSC play, Rollins is averaging 17.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Senior guard Bailey St. Clair is coming off a 24 point performance against Henderson State. She averages 12.1 points per game. St. Clair has also stepped up her game in conference play averaging 15.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Harding ranks ninth in NCAA Division II and first in the GSC in field goal percentage defense (34.4 percent).

 The Lady Bisons have been hitting the offensive boards. Harding grabs an offensive rebound 40.4 percent of the time, ranking them first in the GSC.

During conference play, Harding ranks first in the GSC in free throw percentage (74.7). The Lady Bisons have made 148 free throws, more than anyone else in conference action, and average 21.1 a game.

Harding is coached by Tim Kirby, who is in his 6th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons. He has compiled a 100-62 record at Harding.

Ouachita Baptist

Ouachita Baptist heads into the game with a 14-5 overall record and a 5-2 GSC record after falling to Arkansas Tech 82-78 on Saturday. The Lady Tigers other conference loss came against Delta State earlier this season.

Ouachita Baptist and Harding are currently tied for third place in the GSC West Division. The top four teams advance to the conference tournament in March.

The Lady Tigers are led by A'Laeshia Adams who averages 16.3 points per game. Gabby Coleman averages 12.8 points and Domino Miller averages 10.9 points.

The Series

Harding leads the series between the two teams, 32-24. Ouachita Baptist won the last meeting earlier this season 76-61.
