Lady Bison Basketball Travels to Henderson State on Saturday

SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team travels to Arkadelphia, Ark., on Saturday as they take on Henderson State at 2 p.m., in Gulf South Conference action for their final regular season game. The Lady Bisons have already wrapped up the four seed at the GSC Tournament on March 3-6.

NOTES FOR THE GAME

Harding enters the game with a 17-8 overall record and a 8-5 GSC West Division record after falling to No. 4 Arkansas Tech on Thursday 74-58.

Junior guard Sierra Rollins has been playing very well of late, averaging a double-double in the last four games, 15.8 points and 12.3 rebounds.  In those games, Rollins is shooting 45.3 percent from the field and averaging 5.0 assists per game. During conference play Rollins averages 17.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.  She leads Harding averaging 15.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

Senior guard Bailey St. Clair averages 11.6 points per game. St. Clair leads the GSC in steals per game with an average of 3.1 a game.

During conference play, Harding ranks first in the GSC in free throw percentage (73.8). The Lady Bisons have made 208 free throws and average 17.3 a game.

Harding is coached by Tim Kirby, who is in his 6th season as head coach of the Lady Bisons. He has compiled a 104-64 record at Harding.

Henderson State

Henderson State heads into the game with a 14-11 overall record and a 5-8 GSC West Division record after falling to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday 75-65.

The Lady Reddies are led by Jazmine Ellis who averages 12.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Nyesha Adams averages 10.8 points and Gianna Woods averages 10.5 points. Woods leads Henderson State on the boards, averages 6.5 points.

The Series

Henderson State leads the series 21-19. Harding has won the last four meetings between the two teams including an 83-74 win earlier this season in Searcy. The Lady Bisons have won three of the four games by one point.
